The Ojai Valley Boys brought their lifetime musical backgrounds and love of guitars, horses and hats together in 2000 and have been delighting audiences ever since. When they aren’t entertaining at private parties, fundraisers, civic functions or the atmospheric Zoey’s (in Ventura), the “Boys” spend their free time riding and working cattle in Ojai’s beautiful Upper Valley, where they all live a scant ½ mile apart.

Their special blend of blues and western music never fails to delight diverse audiences – it is hard to find someone who doesn’t instinctively sing along to the cowboy tunes they croon. When their voices harmonize and the guitar cries, it is easy to imagine the flicker of a campfire and the swishing tails of sleepy horses. The strong blues undercurrent imbues the music with a longing that enhances the well known lyrics.

They bring their love of music and love of the land together with delightful style, entertaining their audiences with both music and wit. So what if they get to their gigs in a car instead of on a horse?

After all, even modern cowboys have to sing.
